WHERE WE’VE COME FROM
The foundations of a community
“On Sunday March 17th, 1974, the Mayor of the City of Canning presented the symbolic key of the Corinthian Park Tennis Club club rooms to the inaugural President, Alan Hicks, and so commenced a brand new tennis facility which has grown into one of Western Australia’s premier clubs.”
WHERE WE’RE TODAY
Corinthian Park is a thriving south of the river tennis club drawing primarily from the surrounding areas of Rossmoyne, Shelley, Riverton, Bull Creek, Leeming, Thornlie, Ferndale and Mt Pleasant. Our tennis community is a mix of juniors, social and competitive players. We welcome new members looking for a supportive tennis environment.
WHERE WE’RE GOING
Club trends are changing and we aim to keep up. Our members want to play day and night, social and competition. Night tennis has becoming increasingly popular, particularly in the heat of summer.
– State of the art all-weather acrylic courts are being constructed which will provide the opportunity for year-round play to members, as well as being available for the public to hire.
– New lighting on the all-weather acrylic courts will provide an excellent night vision experience for players. Social and competition tennis can be enjoyed all year round.
– “Aces and Ales” is available to encourage young adults to play tennis and enjoy socialising outside of work and study. Held most Thursday nights, membership is not a pre-requisite. The bar facility is available after play.
